BLESSED! My word how she is blessed. Sweet Jennifer Paganelli sent me a lovely generous sampling of her latest fabric line Lucky Girl. Before my daughter got home from school I set aside two pieces for a Mary's Fancy Sash Dress and then waited until she got home to get her approval on the Mary dress and then she and I started discussing patterns and fabrics for the rest. She has new jeans she has been DYING to wear. She has a couple of summer tops that work with them but she really needed something for fall and winter. We both liked the Leighanna so she and I played around with fabrics and came up with this combination.
We are loving the straight sleeves and tunic length. The roses for this top is a winning choice. I personally feel there is no picture that has really brought out the gorgeous depth of color in this particular print. It is deep and vibrant all at the same time. It is really stunning!
My daughter requested small ruffles on the sleeves and I said let's try it without and see what she thinks. She likes it so far, but I have just enough scrap to add those ruffles if she changes her mind!
We are between seasons on shoes. How I wanted to just go out and buy her some new shoes but birthday and Christmas are around the corner so there is time for those things. What she has from last year works fine. The jeans are from Gap. We both love the cuffs and bling. Her Mimi said she needs something to wear now so she got jeans early. I know some of you are probably bundled up reading this wondering what I mean by early. We are still pretty warm here. We had a cool front come through Sunday, so it has been cooler, but only in the mornings. So the jeans are early! =D I am glad she has even had opportunity to wear them before December! Ha!
So if you are wanting this look you can find the Sis Boom Leighanna pattern here! Lucky Girl by Jennifer Paganelli is just rolling out and you can find the fabric here!
More to come! Pssst, in case you have been waiting, the Jenny dress is in testing. So keep your eyes peeled and your ears opened! It will be rolling out sooner than later! Okay I need to go cut my Jenny pattern pieces and see what I can come up with for fabrics.
