Carla Hegeman Crim is back at it creating new PDF patterns for us! So exciting! She is the master of pattern writing. If you have bought a pattern from her, you KNOW how true of a statement this is! Written detailed enough for a beginner to learn to sew and the experienced sewer to enjoy, really she is just that awesome. If you have not tried one of her patterns, really you MUST!
So the Be-bop is Carla's newest Scientific Seamstress pattern. Designed to look like those wonderful smocked dresses some of you make, but most of us buy, alas this is without the smocking! Super easy and quick to put together, if you love the classic little girl look, you are going to love this pattern! Sleeveless, flutters, short sleeves, or long sleeves, and all length options available, you are going to be making these darling top/dresses for years to come! The pattern can be found in the Scientific Seamstress Etsy Shop.
The fabric is Jennifer Paganelli's gorgeous Circa. Oh my word, have you bought any yet? You can find this print and almost the rest of the fabrics from this line at Marie Madeline Studio. They are big Jennifer Paganelli fans just like ME! Circa is just so soft yet vibrant and dreamy. I am planning on redoing my bedding in it so stay tuned! That should be soon unless I have another pattern to test! Well I might start with my dining table first... and I have a few dresses in some stage of planning. Let's just say I am on a sewing roll!
