I Will Be Your Best Friend Forever and Ever and Ever

Do you remember those vows you made to you most special friend when you were a child? These girls make me think of that kind of devotion. They have been friends since my daughter was born and her friend could toddle down to my house to see her. I have pictures and video of them when they were both toddling around together, my daughter entering that phase, her daughter leaving it. Just so sweet. Love these two! So what is a BFF without matching outfits?! But is matching 'in' still or not? Dunno and don't really care(do what you love!). How about coordinating!? Coordinating works. Especially when you are pulling from Jennifer Paganelli's Happy Land and her patterns!!!

The dress on the left is the Sis Boom pattern  Marissa. SO beautiful, ever girl of every age can wear this dress. It is go to pattern time and time again. If you don't have it in your stash you need it there pronto. Don't be afraid of it, it looks complicated, it's NOT! It really isn't. Carla is a master pattern writer, she will step you through this pattern and you will feel like a pro when you finish. Trust me on this one. The accessories, including the shrug, are all from Target. I don't know if they still have them though. You can check! You never know!

The dress on the right is the Mary Fancy Sash Dress from Jennifer Paganelli's Girl's World. This sweet girl loves this style of dress so I had to make her one. The dress is meant to pop over the wearer's head so the bodice is not fitted like you would anticipate on a dress this style. It's designed to be loose and comfortable for ease in play, it is just perfect in design just know it is looser fitting than you might expect.  I suggest you make muslin of just the bodice to make sure you like the fit. You can always go down a size and just keep the length of the larger size. I have found the neck of the 5/6 to work well on these two when they have been size 6,7,8,and now 9. That being said, they have friends who are the same dress size but  would benefit from a slightly larger bodice.  These two girls wear the same size dress and this dress looked totally different on them. So who is to say! So make a muslin!

Loving that sash! Oh so fancy! You NEED this book if you do not have it already! I am not sure how you could  be a long term reader of my blog and NOT have this book! It is the BEST! My book is getting worn from so much use. If you are new to my blog and feel like you have missed out, no worries, you are going to see more from this book this spring! So make sure you hope over to Jennifer Paganelli's website and purchase Girl's World. You will not regret your purchase! Best spring and summer sewing resource hands down! OH and grab Happy Home while you are at it! LOVE LOVE LOVE! If I could only take a quick picture, my daughter is singing the first song on my blog and flipping through Girl's World. I am telling you, you need the book!

I have one more COMPLETED outfit to post so stay tuned! I told you I have been sewing like crazy and the outfits are FINALLY coming together! Woo hoo!!! I want to be finished with several more by this weekend so hold on to your hats!

One more picture because I just love these two!

Okay I will stop!!!
